Pal Automotive Specialties, was founded in 1970 by Mr. Sol Cohon, who had extensive experience selling automotive maintenance and detailing supplies to car dealers in central Jersey. The business initially operated from his home garage and a van, but expanded in the mid-1970s when he hired Mark Woloshin, a 21-year-old with experience in both auto and retail fields. Mark transformed the warehouse into a retail store, the first in New Jersey to sell auto detail supplies to walk-in customers and service wholesale customers. Mark expanded the store to include detailing supplies, pinstripes, car graphics, and body moldings. In 1997, he moved to a larger store in Piscataway, adding Saturday hours and establishing a website. In 2024, Mark retired, leaving the business in the hands of Ron Lubin and Juan Espinoza, experienced retailers and car enthusiasts who enjoy being a part of the car community, its culture, and simply talking cars!
